Katlakalns 4rd International Folk festival “Rudenāji 2017”, Latvia at September 22 -24, 2017.  
„Rudenāji – 2017” is folk festival, for the 4rd time gathering folk groups from Latvia and abroad. The folk groups from Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Belorussia, Germany, Turkey, Norway, Finland and Latvia were guests in first three festivals in 2011, 2013 and 2015. The leaders of folk organizations are the honourable guests of the festival.

The festival missions is to cultivate the autumn traditions and learn harvest rituals. The songs of autumn habits (authentic singing or reproduction), rituals, the use of national music instruments, and dancing (ethnographical dances without stylization) shall be included in the performances of the groups participating.

Festival takes place in Ķekavas municipality and in neighbourhood. Events of the festival will happen in different places – concert halls, cultural centres and courts as well as in open air stages and by the special objects – mounds and ethnographicals museums.

Festival „Rudenāji – 2017” is organized under regulations by Council of International Organization of Folk Festivals (CIOFF). We will secure the accommodation, catering (3 times per day) and local transport for the international groups. The travel expenses to/from Latvia shall be covered by participants.
